🔦Let’s Do This!

We’re really excited to introduce the Let’s do This Community, who are getting behind our Word Mental Health Day – Equality for Mental Health Campaign and joining us on our run with Run Through next Wednesday.

We recently spoke with their Brand Copy Lead Freya Drummond..

1.       How and when was your community founded?

Let’s Do This was born in 2018. Our founders wanted to bring all the incredible run, swim, cycle obstacle events out there into one place, so that more people would know they exist, more people would be able to book them and more people would get to experience their magic.

2.       What does the word community mean to you?

A feeling of belonging and kinship. We’re in a position to be able to help create community, and our goal is to bring people together over a shared passion. Whatever your ability level, gender, or religion, we want to make you feel welcome in our community. It doesn’t matter which sport activity you love most, we want to help you experience more of it and more of what makes you feel alive. It’s a huge privilege and a lot of fun.

3.       What achievement are you most proud of as a community?

Let’s Do Tuesdays, our weekly run club, is a physical manifestation of our online community that we’re super proud of. We come together each week to do yoga and run with a coach. It’s a chance to connect, do what we love and have fun IRL.

4.           What are your values at Let’s Do This?

We have a few guiding principles when it comes to the language we use and the way we think about and chat to our community.

We always aim to:

  • -move people with feeling and fun

  • -celebrate the here and now

  • -empower one and all

5.           How will Let’s do This Be showing up for Equality for Mental Health in October?

We’re excited to be joining you en masse at Run Through’s Queen Elizabeth Park event – along with as many of our community as possible. We’ll also be talking about mental health with our team and sharing what it means to us as people and as a community.
